If any Northland residents out there are hankering for a piece of the Metrodome, Albrecht Sign Co., the company charged with dismantling the seats from the dome, is selling seats individually.
For orders of fewer than 200 seats, purchase agreements must be finalized with Albrecht Sign by Tuesday. The seats are set at three price points:
* Nonprofit rate: $40 per seat
* General rate: $60 per seat plus tax
* Special location — if available: $80 per seat plus tax
Single seats through entire rows can be purchased, and payments can be made either by certified or cashier’s check, by credit card or with cash.
Seats need to be picked up by the purchaser before Jan. 17 at the Metrodome, at a time and date determined by Albrecht Signs.
Thus far, more than 3,000 seats have been sold to individuals and 900 to nonprofit groups.
Eh? wouldn’t mind a piece of Metrodome furniture, but we’re also sure that there would be no place to put it. But for anyone else looking for a seat of history, or to receive a purchase agreement, contact Tony Manning at email@example.com or go to albrechtsigncompany.com.
