Robin Wall Kimmerer, author of “Braiding Sweetgrass,” will be speaking in the Duluth Public Library’s Green Room at 7 p.m. Monday.
Kimmerer has spent her career learning to ask question of nature using the tools of science. As a Potawatomi woman, she learned from elders, family and history to consider plants and animals as teachers. In her book, “Braiding Sweetgrass,” Kimmerer, using science and story, attempts to show what it means to see humans as “the younger brothers of creation.”
The event is free and open to the public. Copies of Kimmerer’s book will be available for purchase and autographing, courtesy of the Bookstore at Fitger’s.
