Games @ your library

Eh? loves playing games of all varieties. So, when Eh? learned the Duluth Public Library was participating in International Games Day @ Your Library, we couldn’t keep it a secret.
International Games Day is Saturday. The Duluth Public Library’s main branch, 520 W. Superior St., invites everyone to stop in to play video games, board games or card games.
The Gold Room will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. with games for kids and teens, including Wii U and Nintendo 64. More board and card games will be available at Youth Services, Fiction/Media and Reference & Information desks.

Some of the games include classics such as chess, Clue, checkers, Battleship and cribbage. But, there are some newer games such as Game of Thrones board game, Walking Dead board game, Taboo and Apples to Apples. The library also expects to have some jigsaw puzzles set up on big tables in the library where people can stop by to add a few pieces.

Games will be independent, not staff-organized, so bring friends.

For more information, call the library’s Youth Services desk at (218) 730-4200/option 4, or go to igd.ala.org.
