Trotter hits schools

Former Harlem Globetrotter Seth Franco will perform at the Moose Lake High School gym on Tuesday.

Franco will share a message of inspiration and bouncing back from hardship at the free, all-ages event. In 2003, Franco became the first Caucasian Globetrotter since World War II.

During Franco’s college basketball career, he injured his leg, which scuttled his dream of playing basketball professionally. After surgery and rehab, Franco worked hard to master the basketball skills that don’t require running: he practiced with his hands. The tricks he learned garnered the attention of coaches that ultimately led to his inclusion in the venerable Harlem Globetrotters.
