Reading in public

“Home. Is it a place or a face? An address or a state of mind? Shelter or prison? Hearth or horizon?” Pamela Mittlefehldt asks in the introduction to “The Heart of All That Is: Reflections on Home,” a new compilation from Holy Cow! Press.

Catch snippets from some of the authors during two free public readings: 7 p.m. Sunday at Trepanier Hall, 212 W. Second St.; and 7 p.m. Nov. 3 at Fairlawn Mansion, 906 E. Second St., Superior.

Some of the authors featured in the collection include Connie Wanek, Sheila Packa, Gary Boelhower, Ellie Schoenfeld and Duluth’s poet laureate Deborah Gordon Cooper. The book gets a blurb from Bart Sutter.
