Run for, not from, animals

The annual Cause for the Paws 5K walk/run takes place Sept. 7 in
Superior.

The race will start at 9 a.m. on the Osaugie Trail across from Barker’s Island, proceed to McDonald’s on East Second Street and go back to the starting point. Registration begins at 8 a.m.

Cost to participate in the event, which is a benefit for the Humane Society of Douglas County, is $25 per person and $50 per family. You get a race T-shirt and bandanas for up to two dogs.
