Volunteers are needed for a couple of projects at the Duluth Armory on Saturday, the Duluth Armory Arts and Music Center said.
If you’re in a destructive mood, you can help tear down the brick wall at the ramp on 13th Avenue East. If you’re feeling more constructive, you can help repaint the front stairway on London Road.
Two shifts are available: 9 a.m. to noon and 1-4 p.m., with lunch and live music provided from noon to 1 p.m. for all of the volunteers. You can volunteer if you’re younger than 18, but you need to bring an adult with you.
You need to dress for the weather and for the work: leather, steel-toed boots are best (and flip-flops a big mistake, so be smart) if you’re involved in demolition work. The arts and music center will provide gloves, safety glasses and tools.
Contact Clare Ford at (218) 722-1693 or firstname.lastname@example.org and indicate the shift in which you’re interested. Walk-in volunteers will be welcome, the arts group says.
