Dylan sculpture plan revisited

Looks like it’s back to the drawing board, or at least the sculptor’s table, for the Bob Dylan-inspired sculpture that was to be created and displayed in Duluth.

Minnesota Public Radio’s Dan Kraker reported Friday that the Kickstarter campaign by Cohasset artist Tom Page failed to meet its $159,000 goal, putting the 12½-foot-tall bronze sculpture, which shows Dylan playing his guitar with his coat “blowing in the wind,” in jeopardy.

The two-month Kickstarter campaign raised $15,425. No money is collected, though, if the goal isn’t met.

Page, 64, told MPR that he isn’t sure about the next step, but he has a “very loose Plan B” that he isn’t ready to make public.
