Raptors headed to Madeline Island

Raptor experts from the Raptor Center at the University of Minnesota will present two hourlong programs Saturday at the Madeline Island Museum on Madeline Island near Bayfield.

The staff will have several raptors from the center along to show and talk about. The free presentations will begin at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Regular museum admission applies for those who wish to tour the museum.

The Raptor Center, in addition to training veterinary students and veterinarians, rehabilitates more than 700 sick and injured raptors each year while helping to identify emerging environmental issues related to raptor health and populations.
