While the tall ships are getting all the attention lately, Duluth still has its trains.
Tonight, the North Shore Scenic Railroad is offering a wine and dine ride.
Hop on the train at the Duluth Depot at 6:30 p.m. and enjoy a leisurely 2½-hour ride, while dining on a five-course meal created by Chef Richard Selz of the JJ Astor Restaurant. The dinner will be paired with California wines.
This is the Scenic Railroad’s first wine train, but they are planning to make it a regular occurrence beginning Aug. 12.
Tickets are $55 and can be purchased at duluthtrains.com or by calling (218) 722-1273.
