Animal Allies Humane Society is stepping up its efforts to find new homes for felines with a special promotion dubbed Cat Craze Daze.
People adopting a cat at least 6 months old can name the fee they wish to pay while the promotion continues.
“Summer is a very challenging time for animal shelters with lost, abandoned and surrendered cats arriving daily,” said Rick Sailstad, Animal Allies’ executive director. “With our goal of zero euthanasia of healthy cats and dogs, we rely greatly on the Twin Ports community to help us find loving homes for animals that come to us for care.”
Animal Allies operates shelters at 4006 Airport Road in Duluth and at 2225 Hill Ave. in Superior. Both facilities are open from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The Duluth shelter is open noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, while the Superior shelter is open noon to 4:30 p.m. Sunday.
All animals available for adoption can be viewed online, or call (218) 722-5341 for more information.
All cat adoptions include micro-chip identification and registration, a veterinary exam, vaccinations, screening for feline leukemia or FIV and spaying or neutering.
