Benefit set for Hoyt Lakes native

Carl Lee, a 1979 Hoyt Lakes High School graduate, has battled health problems due to treatment that helped him beat Hodgkin’s lymphoma as a teenager.

The 53-year-old Minneapolis man has been in the hospital for several weeks recuperating from his third open-heart surgery, and doctors estimate he could spend up to a year in rehabilitation.A benefit is planned to help with medical expenses for Lee, the marketing director for the Hennepin Theatre Trust in Minneapolis.

The theater will put on a cabaret series July 29 at the Chanhassen Dinner Theater and accept donations on its website.
