We told you Wednesday about the baby born this week to the Duluth woman who didn’t know she was pregnant. Now the baby has a name.

Mira Staine was born Monday to Trish and John Staine. Trish, 33, was training Sunday for the upcoming Garry Bjorklund Half Marathon when she thought the pain she felt was a sore back, pinched nerve, kidney stone or burst appendix — anything but a baby.

Mira, short for “Miracle,” weighed in at 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 18.9 inches long.

John Staine, who — adding to the unexpected nature of the birth — had a vasectomy, said his wife experienced no kicking or movement during her unknown pregnancy and even looked like she had lost weight while training for the half-marathon.
