Free lead testing for young children, pregnant women and nursing mothers will be offered Tuesday.

Testing will take place from 3-7 p.m. in the friendly looking Leadie Eddie Van parked at One Roof Community Housing, 12 E. Fourth St.

The van is operated by the Sustainable Resources Center of Minneapolis, which recommends testing if you have a child younger than age 6; if you live in a home built before 1978; if you recently have scraped, sanded or repaired any painted surface in your home; if you have moved from another country or big city within the past year; or if your child has a playmate or sibling who has had lead in his or her blood.

More information is available via the “lead line” at (612) 872-3281.
