It’s bike swap season!

Some day, spring will come to Duluth and thoughts will turn to riding bikes.

But what if you’ve outgrown the one you have or simply want to trade up for a better model?

One avenue is the annual Bike Swap at Continental Ski & Bike that benefits the United Way of Greater Duluth. It will begin April 20 at the shop located at 1305 E. First St.

The bike swap is for anyone interested in buying or selling a bike. There will be a variety of bikes to choose from, including children’s bikes, mountain bikes, cross bikes and road bikes.

Bikes in good condition will be checked in at Continental beginning Friday and into Saturday. If it sells, the seller will get 75 percent of the price and the rest will be donated to United Way.

Simple bike donations are also welcome from now until the Swap with all of the proceeds going to United Way.

Buying hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
