Minnesota Duluth football coach Bob Nielson is trying to get back what was his two years ago, and he needs help.
Nielson is up for the Liberty Mutual Division II Coach of the Year award, which he won in 2010. The winning coach will have $50,000 donated to a charity of his choice and $20,000 for programming and scholarships for his university’s alumni association.
Nielson currently sits in seventh place. Voting is done through Twitter at coachoftheyear.com and ends Dec. 1. Finalists will be announced Dec. 4 for another round of voting. Winners for each division will be announced Jan. 7.
