There has been a lot of buzz about Lincoln these days, and it continues here. This might not have a thing to do with the new movie about President Abraham Lincoln, but it’s still historic.
The inaugural public performance at the new Lincoln Park Middle School Auditorium will feature flutist Melanie Sever and the Duluth Symphonic Winds performing the Concertina by Cecile Chaminade, First Suite by Holst, William Tell Overture and the music of Cole Porter.
The concert is 7:30 p.m. Monday at the auditorium that was completed in September.
The Duluth Symphonic Winds is directed by Tracey Gibbens and William Van Loh. Sever teaches at the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
