Before seeing the inaugural performance at Lincoln Park Middle School’s new auditorium, be sure to check out the new footpath to be constructed today outside of the school.
Community volunteers will join forces to build the new footpath for students.
From 9 a.m. to noon, volunteers will work to create a gravel walkway connecting the neighborhood east of the school to a paved walkway that the school district has constructed. The new path will connect existing sidewalks along a half-block segment of Devonshire Street, creating an alternative to the existing Atlantic Avenue route.
Volunteers still are needed. People of all ages and experience levels are welcome to help. All equipment will be provided. Anyone younger than age 18 will need a guardian’s permission. Dress for the weather. Meet at the intersection of Devonshire Street and Atlantic Avenue before 9 a.m.
