In coordination with “Give to the Max” Day, Duluth Mayor Don Ness and Superior Mayor Bruce Hagen on Thursday will declare the day “Young Leaders Day” to honor — you guessed it — young leaders in the Twin Ports.
The proclamation will recognize the importance of young adults and their contributions to the health and vitality of the region.
Young adults give our city and work force a competitive edge and they support the features that make Duluth a vibrant place, Ness says.
Along with the declaration, Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation’s Young Leaders Fund will hold Convivial, a free event from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Zeitgeist Arts building to encourage philanthropy among young adults and to provide an opportunity for them to network. The event will feature refreshments, live music and a performance by Renegade Theater.
