Do your daydream sequences look like something out of “Dancing with the Stars”? Here’s a chance to donate your way to the spotlight.
The Minnesota Ballet is auctioning off a spot in the 2013 Celebrity Dance Challenge, the annual competition that pairs well-known novices with professionals from the ballet company. Bidding starts at $200 and will go up in $25 increments. The auction goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday. Call (218) 529-3742 to bid.
The top bid at 3 p.m. Friday wins a spot in the competition.
But just so you know: musician Solomon Witherspoon and former professional Suzanne Kritzberg won it last year with a paso doble to Tom Jones’ “Delilah” — choreography that ended with Witherspoon ripping off his suit coat and walking bare-chested across the stage.
