Cut for a cure

Need a haircut? How about a manicure?

Here’s a way to get that done Sunday at Younkers with the entire cost going to a great cause: the fight against breast cancer.

The salon team at the Miller Hill Mall Younkers is donating its time for the cause. Services offered will include $25 for a shampoo, haircut and style; $20 for men’s and children’s haircuts; $35 for highlights or lowlights; $10 an eyebrow or lip wax; $15 for a mini-manicure; and $25 mini-pedicure.

A full 100 percent of the service charges will go to St. Luke’s Breast Care Center, store manager Bryan Brown said. They hope to raise $5,000 as part of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

  1. I would also like people to know that the salon workers donate their time for this benefit as well. The ladies doing the services at the salon are not being paid for their work so that all proceeds from the salon go to St. Lukes Breast Care Center.
I will be generous with my gratuity to thank the salon workers for their efforts for a great cause.
