Chester Bowl Fall Fest on deck

It just wouldn’t be fall without the annual Chester Bowl Fall Fest, which is set for Saturday. It’s the 29th annual event that features great food, local arts and crafts and a farmers market with fresh produce, including pumpkins and apples (even caramel apples!).

There will be more than 100 vendors, all sorts of live music and kids’ activities.

The event runs from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the park at 1801 E. Skyline Parkway. Parking can be scarce, but here’s a hint: Avoid a long walk by taking a free shuttle bus from the University of Minnesota Duluth parking lot off College Street, next to the Darland Administrative building.

Admission is free, but there’s a $2 suggested donation. All proceeds go to the Chester Bowl Improvement Club to pay for the park’s popular downhill ski program and flood recovery efforts.

Go to chesterbowl.org or call (218) 724-9832.
