The fourth annual Lakewalk Festival offers family-friendly activities from Canal Park to Fitger’s and in the Lakeside neighborhood from noon to 4 p.m. today.
That’s about five miles worth of festival, but don’t worry, the North Shore Scenic Railroad will shuttle you from stop to stop.
In Lakeside there will be a Top Dog contest, a dance show, a puppy pool party and face painting. At Endion Station there will be disc golf, lacrosse demonstrations and face painting. Sign a thank you to a soldier and help assemble care packages at the Veteran’s Memorial. There will be animals from the Lake Superior Zoo and a bounce house in the courtyard at Fitger’s.
Each Canal Park hotel will have face painting, rock painting, balloons, hay wagon rides, a bean bag toss and more.
Kids can pick up Lakewalk passports at the Lake Superior Maritime Visitors Center and get it stamped for free ice cream at Bridgeman’s and the Grandma’s Box Car.
